We have a problem. Waste. Plastic waste and a lot of it. But you can help in easy way - when your linen needs replacing use fibre products made out of recycled plastic.

Look, the average US/Canadian home produces over 45 pounds of plastic waste per year, PET.

We can turn eighteen 12 ounce bottles, fourteen 16 ounce bottles or nine 2 liter bottles into produce one pound of PET.

In 2008, the1.45 billion pounds of PET that were collected and recycled produced the following benefits:

  1. 46 trillion Btu's of energy saved, enough to power 486,000 US homes for one year. *1.25 million tons of greenhouse gas emissions reduced from our atmosphere, equal to the removal of 190,000 vehicles from our highways.
  2. Reduced clean water use by 25% compared to production of virgin fiber.
  3. 1.45 billion pounds of waste eliminated that would further burden our landfills and diminish earth's natural resources.
  4. The use of PCR versus virgin polyester reduces energy consumption by 84% and greenhouse gas emissions by 71%.

How does Recyling Plastic Work, turning Plastic into Fibre?

The process is simple. Bales of plastic bottles are collected, sorted, and inspected to eliminate foreign materials.

These PET bottles are sterilized, dried, and crushed into small chips, melted down, and extruded into a new fiber. The finished fiber is then dyed and woven before being sewn into napkins and tablecloths in a variety of earth-tone and spa-inspired colors.

Who Certifies this Process?

Scientific Certification Systems ,SCS, has more than 25 years of experience as a global leader in independent certification of environmental, health and safety claims and has developed certification programs and internationally recognized standards aimed at spurring the highest level of environmental improvements, social accountability and product performance.

Many companies claim to be eco friendly, but check on their product compliance and standards set by SONG Sustainability Initiative, WRAP Worldwide Responsible Apparel Production Initiatives, Oeko-Tex, CMA Responsible care, for example.
