The Capital Area Franchise Association is a membership-based organization serving franchise professionals in the greater Washington DC metropolitan area. Our members include franchise company senior executives, master franchisees and professional service suppliers who are devoted to the franchise industry.
We were founded in 1989 by franchise professionals in the Mid-Atlantic region, including Warren Lee Lewis, now a franchise lawyer with Akerman Senterfitt LLP, and Mary Rogers and Karen Marshall, then co-owners of Computertots/Computer Explorers.
Our members are committed to supporting the growth of businesses through the franchise model, promoting executive development, and encouraging best practices in franchising through regular programs and networking.
Any entrepreneur, founder or business executive who is interested in learning about the use of the franchise model as part of a strategic growth plan is encouraged to join us.
We provide an interactive forum that promotes executive development and highlights best practices in franchising, while providing networking opportunities for members and their guests.
We hold luncheon meetings, generally on the 3rd Tuesday of alternating months, at locations in Virginia and Maryland that are convenient for our members. Our bi-monthly luncheon meetings feature guest speakers addressing topics of particular interest to the franchise industry.
